For the past 30 years Alon has been living and creating in Clil, an ecological village situated in the Western Galilee, Israel. In Clil, Alon and his partner Batya – a glass artist- have built their home and studio – Jara studio. 

Alon creates ceramic art and functional ceramics in a wide range of techniques. Many of his works are connected to domestic and public-sphere architecture – ceramic surfaces; stone terraces; water fountains; large urns etc.

His artworks and designed objects are displayed regularly in private and public spaces in Israel and abroad; including a number of national and local museums and galleries.

In 2017-2018 Alon spent 6 months in china designing and manufacturing two huge ceramic murals (add size in cm/ feet) made from porcelain tiles, a work commissioned for a hospital in the city of Nanging.

In his studio – Jara – Alon creates his works of art, executes projects commissioned by private clients, collaborates with other artists and designers, and teaches individuals and groups.
